The morning meeting on December 5th was anything but ordinary.
As dawn sunlight flooded the workshop and the hum of machinery had yet to fully awaken, workers lined up in teams as usual—not just to receive the day’s work assignments, but to extend their sincere blessings to a long-serving colleague, Luo Zhonghua, and witness the significant moment of his honorable retirement!
Born in 1965, Luo Zhonghua joined Shanghai Zhengyi in 2003 and has remained steadfast in the “grinding position” for 22 years, toiling diligently amid the clash of abrasive wheels and metal.
We recall the late nights spent working side by side to meet deadlines, where he always volunteered for high-difficulty grinding tasks; we remember how he patiently taught new employees grinding techniques such as angle control and safety precautions, sharing his years of accumulated experience without reservation; when faced with challenges in processing special materials, he repeatedly researched grinding parameters and coolant ratios, striving to keep the surface roughness of each workpiece within standard ranges.
From his early days of awkwardness in the workshop to his current mastery of the craft, Luo Zhonghua has processed over 100,000 precision components in 22 years. Not only are his workpieces consistently high-quality, but he also pursued excellence beyond industry requirements, continuously optimizing process parameters. With his calloused hands, he embodied the corporate spirit of “Dedication, Responsibility, and Devotion”—a role model for all of us.
The atmosphere at the morning meeting was warm and heartfelt. On behalf of the company, Li Dong, Executive Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Zhengyi, stepped forward, shook Master Luo’s hand, and said with emotion:
“Master Luo, over the years, everyone has witnessed the apprentices you’ve trained and the problems you’ve solved. The company’s achievements today would not be possible without loyal employees like you. Please come back to visit often—we’re still family! Congratulations on your retirement, and may you enjoy every moment!”
Subsequently, General Manager Li presented Master Luo with a carefully prepared retirement gift, a token of the company’s recognition and gratitude for his decades of hard work.
As Master Luo accepted the gift, a simple and sincere smile spread across his face. Could hardly contain his excitement, he spoke with a slight tremor:
“Thank you, the company, thank you, General Manager Li, thank you all. These years at the company have been a joy—working with everyone has been wonderful. Though I’m retiring, I’ll always follow the company’s progress. Thank you!”
This simple ceremony and heartfelt blessings embody profound friendship. Retirement is not an end, but the beginning of a new and fulfilling chapter of life.
Here, we sincerely wish Master Luo Zhonghua a colorful and joyful retirement, along with good health and happiness for his entire family! May this warmth inspire every current employee to cherish the present, strive for excellence, and contribute to the future of both themselves and the company!
